Renewable Energy – Photovoltaic Systems:

The Participants become acquainted with the physical and technical aspects of energy generation with solar cells. They plan systems for grid connection and select the type of energy measurements. They assess profitability and efficiency by using simulation programs and put model systems into operation. The participants will plan  photovoltaic electric energy supply. They dimension suitable components and select them according to cost effectiveness and durability. In addition the intergration of other ernergy generators in a stand- alone network is discussed.

Objectives:

  • Determine characteristics of solar cells by measurements
  • Distinguish between different types and designs of solar modules
  • Rate the performanceand efficiency of PV-Systems
  • Plan photovoltaic systems for grid connection
  • Professional planning and use of simulation software
  • Design and built a PV-Unit and test function

Control Technology by PLC-Systems:

On the example of a PLC the participants become aquainted with the structure and operation of a modern automation system. They plan automation solutions and develop program modules. After simulation of the functional process the equipment is put into operation.

Objectives:

  • Develop automation solutions for machinery and representative equipment
  • Professionally apply specific engineering tools
  • Plan and program with languages according to IEC 61131-3
  • Test project work with the aid of simulations or functional models
  • Apply process visualization
